Kilter, a member of Aggrator, who has been part of our start-up program Since 2021, they have secured an impressive 95 million kroner in a recent funding round. The investment is led by the Dutch Pymwymic and Australian Nufarm, Both are key players in the agritech sector. Existing owners, such as SBGI and the Adigo group, have also participated. After the new capital raising, Kilter is valued at 250 million kroner.

Kilter has developed AX-1, an autonomous robot that, using artificial intelligence and advanced precision spraying, reduces the use of pesticides by up to 95 percent. The solution is specifically adapted to vegetable crops such as carrots, onions, and radishes, and contributes to lower costs, better yields, and increased sustainability in food production.

Founder and CEO Anders Brevik highlights how challenging it has been to find investors in Norway. He believes that agriculture is often an unknown field for many Norwegian investors, and that Kilter has therefore had to seek funding abroad to achieve success.

We tried for a long time to talk to Norwegian investors, but we had to go abroad and actually managed to do it there, despite a very difficult capital market. I am very proud of that.
Anders Brevik, founder of Kilter, to Shifter

With the funding in place, Kilter is now turning its attention to global growth, including the Australian market, thanks to Nufarm’s distribution network. They also plan to increase their staff by at least 15 new employees.
