Fungus and mold are a constant challenge for berry producers worldwide. One of the most effective methods to prevent this problem is to use young plants that are not infected. The incubator company Plantsauna has developed an innovative solution: a sauna and steam chamber for plants, combined with a tailored program that makes the plants more heat-resistant than unwanted mold. This groundbreaking technology has already sparked great interest in the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In May, Plantsauna secured ten million kroner in investments from Norwegian and international investors. For several of them, this was their first step into the agrifoodtech sector \u2013 a clear signal of confidence in Plantsauna\u2019s potential and the market\u2019s growth opportunities.

Driscoll\u2019s<\/a>, Norwegian, the world's largest berry producer, is already a customer. In addition, Hoogstraten<\/a>, Sander Myhrene, Managing Director of Plantsauna, signed an agreement with the Belgian cooperative specializing in the sale and distribution of fruit and vegetables, which annually distributes 30,000 tons of strawberries. By comparison, this corresponds to six times the total Norwegian strawberry production, according to Sander Myhrene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until now, Plantsauna has delivered individual saunas to its customers. From next year, they will introduce a new service \u2013 \u00absauna as a service\u00bb. This solution involves a mobile steam chamber that travels directly to the manufacturers, making the technology more accessible and flexible for even more berry producers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
