Lime & Leaf has developed its own plant-based meat based on pure, local ingredients. Now the company plans to further develop the product and build a scalable B2B model \u2013 with support from Innovation Norway and Aggrator.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lime & Leaf has been accepted into Aggrator\u2019s StartUp program. The company is run by entrepreneur Sindy Tran and has its origins in the restaurant Lime & Leaf in Fredensborgveien in Oslo, where they serve Asian-inspired, 100 percent plant-based food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restaurant also serves as an important arena for developing and testing the company\u2019s own products. One of them is Lime & Leaf\u2019s plant-based meat, which is currently used in the restaurant and sold to selected B2B customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is specifically this product and the business opportunities around it that Aggrator will assist Lime & Leaf in developing further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From your own kitchen to a scalable product<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The market for plant-based alternatives is evolving, while many consumers are seeking products with fewer additives and more recognizable ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lime & Leaf wants to meet this need with a plant-based meat product based on pure ingredients, including from local farms. The ambition is to develop a product that delivers both flavor and texture without relying on long ingredient lists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next step therefore involves more than just running the restaurant. The company will further develop the product, validate the market, and find a model that makes it possible to reach more customers through B2B sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 We have always been concerned that plant-based food does not have to mean a long list of additives. We want to develop a good product based on pure raw ingredients and make it available to more people, says founder Sindy Tran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will build a scalable B2B model<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aggrator\u2019s work with Lime & Leaf will primarily focus on the innovation and commercialization of the plant-based meat product. This includes working on product and market validation, business model, B2B sales, financing, and a strategy for scaling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restaurant in Fredensborgveien will still be an important testing ground, but the ambition is that the product will be able to stand on its own and reach a much larger market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
